WOW where did this year go!!!!

So sorry haven't had any time to catch everyone up! It's been crazy since our Colorado vacation. Lexi in one night has began speaking in sentences and its amazing on how much I understand what she actually wants now :)))) She even comes and tells us when she Poo's.....LOL we have to actually work on the getting to the big girl potty first! We have been traveling back to Baxter a lot to see family and got to meet some friends at the Iowa State Fair for a day. Lexi loved all the animals and the kids that she got to see dance.

This last weekend we went to the children's museum for the first time here in Omaha and she LOVED it!!! We got to make a doll with clothes, face paint, grocery shopping with her own little tiny cart and fake grocheries...she was having a hay day!!!! I will have to upload some pics soon. She is now on the go so now I gotta go.....be back soon to update more!!!

Our first family trip to Estes Park and Steamboat Springs, CO

It was our first family trip to Colorado and it was an amazing time. We drove and it only took us 8 hours to get to Estes Park, the way into Estes was absolutely amazing!!!! We had to open the jeeps slider roof to get the full effect of the mountains---Lexi kept starring out the window and kept repeating "WOW." Thanks to Ricks parents who let us have such an amazing trip there, we stayed at their timeshare and it was to die for! Well the first night we had to stay in the Roadway Inn, which really wasn't as fun as Rick found some dog poo on the floor by the bed---the desk said "oh are you sure its not an oreo---we have a lot of problems with those"....LOL are you kidding well let us go get it as we saved it for you with the grass sticking it out of it and all!!!! Thank goodness we only stayed one night and they only took $20 off the room which was horrible! The next night we stayed in the timeshare and when we opened the door it was like Extreme Makeover, we all went OOOHHHHH---AHHHHHHHHHHH it was breathtaking. We had 3 huge bedrooms all with our own bathroom and a great living and kitchen area. The best was the jacuzzi on the deck overlooking the beautiful mountains of Estes Park!!! After seeing real life elks we were on to Steamboat to meet Jenni and Shane and Gunner----Needless to say nobody was happy with Ricks mom and I as we are scared of heights and didn't want to go up to the top of Rocky Mountain so we took a little detour well okay a LONG detour....we ended up driving 5hrs and it really only would of taken us like 3hrs to get there...OOPS....I just don't like heights and thank god Ricks mom was on my side so I didn't have a full on panic attack :))))We enjoyed ourselves in Steamboat and the last night we got to have a little alone time with Jenny and Shane and enjoyed some amazing sushi and a wonderful chocolate martini----Thanks to the Emary and Halter family for an amazing first family trip. Love you guys!!!

Passport to the Cure-ACS Event-Aug 7th

Well the big event is finally over and was so much fun!! Now the anxiety is over! I can't tell you how wierd it felt to be painted and then to stand there like a sculpture in front of people:))))

I was breast cancer, then we had skin cancer, blood, ovarian and lung cancer. They dedicated mine to my sister Lynn who has breast cancer and is fighting it for the 3rd time in 6 years! They did an amazing story on her and I was very touched by the woman who came up to me and took pics with me! My friend Ashley dedicated ovarian cancer for our lovely friend Natalie who passed away with Ovarian Cancer this year. I worked with these girls at Von Maur when I first moved to Omaha. It took me over 1 and 1/2 hrs to get the paint off me and my shower was a mess afterwards. Lexi was a little scared of mommy when she came home as I looked like a super hero :)))) The weekend was very busy for us, my mom and Maria came into town and we enjoyed the company and had so much fun. Although I had to leave for a girls night in KC at the Power and Light District and it was a blast!!!! Daddy went to a bachlor party for a friend so Lexi got to spend a little time with Anthony and Melanie as they need practice for their little baby boy coming on Thanksgiving Day. Thanks for everyone for a fabulous weekend of memories!!!!

On the road again!

The weekend after traveling back to my parents we decided to head down to KC to enjoy the weekend with Ricks family. We took Lexi to the petting zoo and she had BLAST! She got to find rocks, give a goat a bottle, and play with so many animals! We enjoyed the weekend by grilling out and shopping and having a relaxing weekend. We did find out Lexi loves the outdoors so she must get that from Daddy :)))))

Baxter Fun Days!

Baxter Fun Days this year was a good time. Lexi had a blast and Nani and Op's house as there were so many people and things for her to do! She loved the parade and better yet all the food that Nani made for all the guests. She didn't win the baby contest, but I didn't realize so many people went all out and did props and stuff, but Lexi was a great sport. She showed everyone what a big girl she was and even wore the wig the whole time!!!! My cousin Alicia and her fiance and son came up to celebrate and also my two friends that I have lost touch over 9 years showed up and we had such a great time. My cousin's band played Sat night and since he broke his leg he had to sit down for the whole show so that probably wasn't so much fun. It was nice to see everyone and Lexi had her 1st Fun Days awake :))))

Happy rainy not so fun 4th of July!

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, but this year wasn't so fun :(( Rick has been working the last 10 days 12hr days for Donnie since he owns all the fireworks stands so it was just Lexi and I. I give you props to all the mom's out there that are either single moms or moms of twins. It was just Lexi and I for 10 days and nights and I was pooped!!! LOL

I woke up that morning and got out of my bed and threw out my back :((( it was not fun. We were suppose to go out to Mandi and Alans for a holiday party and I couldn't even hardly get out of bed let alone lift Lexi into her carseat or in her highchair to eat :( I even bought her the cutest outfit so I had to get her dressed and take some pics :)

Peek-a-boo

Start of a new week!

It was a fun weekend and the dart pool is now open!!! We were planning on swimming today since it was 105 degrees but after work it ended up raining :( I had a great meeting with the American Cancer society girls last night for our big event at the Josslyn museum on Aug. 7th. Every model will be painted to a certain type of cancer. Mine is of course breast cancer for my sister, then we have skin cancer, ovarian cancer, lung and leukemia. I also just found out they will be doing a story on my sister and I in the Reader of Omaha telling about her story and how I am doing this event for her and her battle against breast cancer. I will definitely upload tons of pictures as this is going to end up being a fairly big event and certainly the biggest I have ever done. My body will be painted head to toe and with writing of my sisters thoughts and feelings she has had during her journey all over my body---so what does that mean for me..BOOTCAMP BOOTCAMP BOOTCAMP!!! I have only 2 weeks left and then it might be starving myself until aug. 7th since i will only be in a swimming suit --eeek!! Have a great week talk to you soon!

Father's Day Weekend

We decided to open and clean the pool as it seems the summer is already flying by. The weather has really been horrible with rain and strong winds so it has been hard to open the pool early this year. Lexi got a new swimsuit for her bday from The Osbornes and she was sooo excited to put it on until she just couldn't take it she was toooo tired. I now have a little time on my hands to add some stuff to my blog. We plan on just relaxing this weekend and letting Daddy pick the plans. Tonight we are going to see my cuz Anthony's band again ( I think we are now considered groupies) at Ricks Boatyard by the river. Last night we enjoyed a nice night at a coworkers reception and Jenni and I apparently had a lot more fun than others :))) Well more to come soon, have a great and happy fathers day to all of you!!

CWS 2009!

Alicia and I went to see Anthony's band play at Starsky's for the CWS! It was a lot of fun and glad I got out the house. The guy we took a picture with was like 7'9 and we both had heels on so I think if he would of bent down he would of been our same height! It was CRAZY! The other pics are just us having fun and dancing---there were TONS of people down there and the band did AWESOME! If you have time to look them up their name is Soundbite, they are playing in Baxter for Fun Days July 11th and its going to be insane!!!!! Lexi stayed home with Daddy and this morning I watched her music video that Daddy made of her dancing and playing with Lucky :)) I will have to upload that later.

Already Sunday :(

It was a fun day at the baseball fields! Gunner's team won the whole tournament!! Lexi had a great time watching the team and playing with Aunt Jenni and Uncle Dusty. She is now climbing all over me as I type this eating raisins like they are going out of style! We all had a very long day in the sun and are all ready for showers and bed, but first Alicia and Garrett are coming over to grill! Tomorrow is my 2nd week of bootcamp. I go Monday, Tuesdays or Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30am-6:30am. I really hope we don't run the mile this week! I will be letting everyone know how it is going this week as I am sure I will be sore again. Also just talked to my sister Lynn and her biopsy went well and sounds like their anniversary night was an eventful one :)))) We find out tomorrow about her biopsy results so please pray for her that she will be able to start her treatment soon! We are also going to begin a blog for her and the apparel we will start selling! Stay Tuned!

What a weekend!

This weekend was so busy for us. Gunner had his baseball tournament and has won all his games so far so they get to play in the championship game tomorrow at noon!! It seems like when you have one thing to do on a weekend there is 6 other things that come up that you need to do as well. We had a farewell party that we had to stop by today in the breaks of the baseball games and on top of that the guys decided they wanted to get tattoos while they were in Omaha. This is Ricks first tattoo and Dusty's third or fourth. Rick decided to get Lexis footprints on the back of his leg :)) well we got there at 6:3o and Dusty went first and by 10:15 he still wasn't done so I had to come back to be with Lexi so I missed Rick getting his :(((
I will have a picture and maybe even a video to post since I made Dusty tape my husbands first tattoo :))
